How does Connex map addresses to Xero?

Introduction

Xero has no billing and shipping address specific to the invoice. Xero pulls the address from the contact. New contacts will have current info, but existing contacts must be updated.

What does the address look like?

When would I need to change an address?

Here is a scenario:

  1. Company A resides at 123 Main St. in Boston.
  2. Company A moves to Tampa Bay, Florida.
  3. Without updating the company, the billing and shipping say Boston.

How do I change addresses?

Here are the steps:

  1. On the Connex configure page, click the advanced tab.
  2. Under advanced customer settings, check update customer addresses.
  3. Click submit.

Connex will update the contact's street address and postal address. The order will reflect the proper address.

Can I display the address as a line item?

Here are the steps:

  1. On the Connex configure page, click the advanced tab.
  2. Under advanced transaction settings, check add shipping address as a line item.
  3. Click submit.
