If you sell on multiple channels, you can track income on channel A versus channel B. In this example, we will change the income account to Amazon for Amazon sales.
How do I control income accounts?
In Xero, go to sales and click inventory. Each item has its own income account. When you create Xero invoices, Xero uses this income account by default. You can override this account by adding rules.
How do I add a rule?
Here are the steps:
- Login to Connex.
- Hover over the gear and click rules engine.
- Click add new rule.
- Add a rule like this one. Enter the account as it appears in Xero. If you want any store containing the phrase Amazon, use matches instead of equals:
